If it doesn't, it wouldn't have mattered at all anyway since it's a 50/50 chance most of the Gate Assault crew will run right past the Gate Defenders to path all the way up to the walls and gatehouse, since attacking the Gate Defenders is the 'last' step in a Siege script. The fix - Don't build anything but a Ram.

'Well, we found out that Wood was a bit too difficult to supply many Town Markets. But, 'sieges?' Why aren't these gameplay mechanic bugs on a high-priority list? I could deal with the dumb_as_._._repetitive_AI_Field Battles. A 'WARBAND II' game with craptastic quality issues with sieges. I don't loose sieges because of them, I just get friggin' frustrated at how little attention they've paid to them.
